Why make a blog?

For anyone who is interested in my travels…

England

The Haggis Sisters started a blog in 2020 as a way to keep family and friends informed on our travels. We visited London, walked dogs in the Lake District, and helped the local community in Wincanton.

Japan

Stephanie is part of the JET program (Japan Exchange and Teaching program) and is stationed in the lovely Izu Peninsula in Japan. This is what the blog will continue as.

What is a Haggis?

The mighty Haggis is a Scottish mythical creature that roams the countryside. Its legs are shorter on one side of its body so that it can run more easily on hills and mountains. While sightings are rare, the more common encounters are the sounds of what appears to be an out-of-tune bagpipe. I am still hoping to get a picture of this mythical beast eventually…
